I really need to get the fuck out of the house and interact with human beings. Finals (and, to a greater lesser extent, Adam Lambert fandom) has swallowed me whole. I have not been meeting my weekly quota of face-to-face interpersonal socializing... uggh uggghsldfjslkdf.. DNW to become creepy shut-in basement dweller w/ Carpal Tunnel syndrome.

... I'm being dramatic b/c it's only been like 2.5 weeks BUT STILL. Well, actually, on the real it's been like TWO YEARS since I've become alarmingly addicted to the internet, but w/e. Let's sweep that under the rug.

Random: I really hate it when people "warn" for het in fic. WHY? LOL. I also hate when people list EVERY SINGLE PAIRING and warn for every little thing in their headers, as well, because it totally gives away the whole story and colors my perception of what's gonna happen. Just tell the story. If there's going to be d/s or breathplay or violence or dubcon, don't warn me! I love being surprised by that shit. It's the greatest thing when you're reading along, thinking things are swell, then BAM! Person A grabs Person B by the throat and slams them into a wall or something. Giggity giggity.

But I understand that it's not the writer's fault -- it's the reader's. People seem to really need these warnings and freak out if they don't get them and are surprised. But it's lame for ME b/c even when I try to scroll quickly, they still catch my eye. All writers should do that black-out thing where you have to highlight the warnings to see what they say.

... those last two paragraphs are tragically ironic considering what I was just bitching about in the beginning of this post. HOW SAD. LOL. OH GOD MY LIFE. Ok, fun time over, back to crammming, :(.
